i)    2100166 Ontario Limited (Smith) – Application No. A12-16

Part of Lot 30, Concession 4, being Parts 1 & 2 on Plan 42R-9130, designated as Parcel 7516 PSNS,
in the geographic Township of Harrison
Pointe au Baril Station Neighbourhood
CIVIC ADDRESS:  250 South Shore Road

PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION:

The applicants are seeking relief from Sections 5.8ii)e)iii)2) and 10.1.2d) of Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. A2000-07, as amended, which states that a docking envelope for a commercial zone not contain a single dock with a width greater than 4 metres, being the smallest dimension and, the Minimum Front Yard Setback is 7.5 metres.

The purpose of the proposed application is to permit an open, L-shaped dock area, having a width greater than 4 metres (13 feet), which will contain an 18.2 square metre (196 square feet) covered area, that will be attached to the 89 square metre (960 square feet) boathouse.  The effect of the proposed variance would be the construction of a boathouse that would include:
-  a portion of dock being 12 metres x 13.4 metres (42 feet x 44 feet) in size, which would include a covered portion
a wet area for personal watercraft, and
a portion of the dock area for dry storage of the personal watercraft.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE APPLICANT HAS WITHDRAWN HIS APPLICATION.

ii)    Gentle Space Holdings (Mandel) – Application No. A13-16

Part of Lot 26, Concession 5, being Summer Resort Location JH17, including Part 1 on Plan 42R-9143, designated as Parcel 7630 PSSS, in the geographic Township of Conger
Healey Lake Neighbourhood
CIVIC ADDRESS:  110 Fox Back Road

PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION:

The applicant is seeking relief from Section 7.1.3 d)i) Main Dwelling-Maximum Ground Floor Area, of the Township’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. A2000-07, as amended.  The maximum ground floor area allowed for a main dwelling, on a lot that is 0.56 hectares (1.39 acres) in size, is 247 square metres (2659 square feet); being 80% of the total lot coverage.

The purpose of the proposed application is to allow a variance of 5.5 square metres (59 square feet) over the maximum allowable size of a main dwelling.  The effect of the proposed variance would be the construction of a main dwelling having a maximum ground floor area of 252.5 square metres (2718 square feet).
