PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION:

The applicant is requesting relief from Section 7.1.3 e) Minimum Front Yard Setback, of the Township's Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. A2000-07, as amended, which stipulates that the minimum front yard setback shall be 7.5 metres (25 feet).

The purpose of the proposed application is to allow a variance of 1.5 metres (4.9 feet) from the minimum front yard setback of 7.5 metres (25 feet).  The effect of the variance would be the construction of a 19 square metre (206 square feet) addition to the main dwelling, which would have a front yard setback of 6.1 metres (20 feet).

ii)    CLOKIE, Christina – Application No. A04-17

PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION:

The owners are seeking relief from Section 5.22 b) vi) of the Township's Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. A2000-07, as amended, which prohibits the expansion or enlargement of legally, non-complying accessory buildings.

The purpose of the proposed application is to allow for the reconstruction of the existing sleeping cabin, with the addition of an unenclosed deck.

The effect of the proposed variance would be the replacement of the existing 56.8 square metre (611 square feet) sleeping cabin with the addition of a 43.3 square metre (466 square feet) unenclosed deck.

iii)    MASSIE, Wendy and Jamie – Application No. A02-17

PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION:

The applicant is seeking relief from Section 5.8 i)d)i) Residential Docks - of the Township'sComprehensive Zoning By-law No. A2000-07, which stipulates that lots, being larger than 1 acre in size with a frontage in excess of 200 metres on Georgian Bay, are permitted 3 docking sites with a cumulative width not to exceed 30 metres.

The purpose of the proposed application is to permit a variance of 13.3 metres (44 feet) above the maximum cumulative width of 30 metres for the 3 docks located on the property. The effect of the proposed variance would be the installation of a 3rd dock having an onshore portion of 9.7 metres (32 feet) in width, thereby bringing the total cumulative width of all docks to 43.3 metres (142 feet).
