5.    Hearing of Minor Variance Applications

i)    JONES, Cliff and Doreen - APPLICATION NO. A02-16

in the geographic Township of Conger
Healey Lake Neighbourhood
CIVIC ADDRESS:  59 Penn Road

PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION:

The owners are seeking relief from Section 5.3 h) Boathouses and Boatports of the Township's Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. A2000-07, which states that the maximum number of storeys of any boathouse or boatport shall be one.  A deck on the roof of a building is considered a second storey.

The purpose of the proposed application is to allow a variance for a rooftop deck on a 95 square metre (1023 square feet) boathouse.  The effect of the proposed variance would be the construction of a boathouse which would have a 95 square metre (1023 square feet) rooftop deck as a second storey.

The applicant has stated that the owners wish to build a 2-storey boathouse with a rooftop deck, like the one that historically existed on the property.
