i)    HERVEY, C.J. – Application No. A11-16

Part of Island 364A, being Parts 1 and 2 on Plan 42R-9030, designated as
Parcel 6677 PSNS, in front of the geographic Township of Shawanaga
Pointe au Baril Islands Neighbourhood
CIVIC ADDRESS:  12 A364 Island

PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION:

The owners are seeking relief from Section 5.22c) iv) Non-Complying Buildings and Structures, specifically replacement structures, of the Township's Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. A2000-07, which stipulates that any non-complying building or structure can be replaced as long as it is on the same footprint.

The purpose and effect of the proposed application is to allow for the legal non-complying, 92.9 square metre (1000 square feet) boathouse to be moved to the northerly side of the property, where it was originally located.

The applicant has stated that the previous owners moved the boathouse 17 years ago, to its current location on the southerly side of the property, due to low water levels.  The owners would like the boathouse moved back to its original location, because water levels have risen, and access would be viable once again.

Cale Henderson; Secretary Treasurer, explained the nature of the application.  Andy Blenkarn, agent working on behalf of the owner, attended in support of the application.

Resolution 16-12-ADJ-03
