NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING

CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT

(PLEASANT COVE RESORT)

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago deemed the following application to amend the Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. A2000-07, as amended, a complete application under Subsection 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13, as amended.

AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago enacted By-law No. A2035-13 on the 22nd day of February, 2013, pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, which by-law designated Pleasant Cove Resort lands, located in Part of Lot 27, Concession 5, in the geographic Township of Harrison, to the ‘Coastal/Island Residential Exception 71-Holding (CR-71-H)’ Zone.

AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago will hold a public meeting to consider a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, as well as considerthe proposed removal of the Holding (H) symbol.

THE PURPOSE
of proposed Zoning By-law Amendment No. Z04-17 is to amend the ‘Coastal/Island Residential Exception 71-Holding’ (CR-71-H) zoning, for Parcel 8755 PSNS, Part 1 and part of Part 2 on Plan 42R-6131, Part 4 on Plan 42R-6083, Parts 1 and 2 on Plan 42R-8129 and part of Part 1 on Plan 42R-15917, located in Part of Lot 27, Concession 5, in the geographic Township of Harrison.

THE EFFECT of proposed Zoning By-law Amendment No. Z01-11 is to amend the site specific residential zoning to permit the proposed increase in size of Unit #11 from 100 square metres (1076 square feet) to 151.6 square metres (1632 square feet), and to remove the Holding (H) symbol to allow the property to be used residentially.

ANY PERSON may make written and/or verbal representations either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.

IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago before the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago to the Ontario Municipal Board.

IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
