NOTICE OF PASSING OF A
ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT No. A2079-17 (CRANE LAKE DISCOVERY CAMP)

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago passed By-law No. A2079-17 on Friday, August 25, 2017 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13, as amended.

THE PURPOSE of proposed Zoning By-law Amendment No. A2079-17 is to amend the ‘Private Club Exception 7 (PC-7)’ zoning of the lands designated as Parcel 25835 P.S.S.S., located in Lots 32 and 33, Concession IX, in the geographic Township of Conger.

THE EFFECT of proposed Zoning By-law Amendment No. A2079-17 is to amend the zoning of the subject land to allow for the construction of: a two-storey staff bunkhouse, a single-storey laundry/shower house, two single detached dwellings, and a second-storey addition within the existing accessory building on the property including a porch addition.

AND TAKE NOTICE that only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a Zoning By-law to the Ontario Municipal Board by filing with the Clerk of the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago, not later than Tuesday, September 27, 2017, a notice of appeal setting out the objections to the By-law and the reasons in support of the appeal. Payment of the fee prescribed by the Municipal Board under the Ontario Municipal Board Act must accompany the Notice of Appeal and must be made payable to the Minister of Finance for the Province of Ontario.

AND TAKE NOTICE that a notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group, on its behalf.

AND TAKE NOTICE that no person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the Council or, in the opinion of the Ontario Municipal Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

AND TAKE NOTICE that Council received a written submission and has taken the submission into consideration when making its decision.
