As a third generation cottager in Pointe au Baril, I first became involved with the community through  various roles within the Pointe au Baril Islanders Association; including terms as land use director, the environment committee and boating.  I served one term as president in 2005/2006.

 

During that time, I also was appointed for a term on the board of the Georgian Bay Association.

 

I am a retired engineer, married with two wonderful grown children and now generation five on the way.

 

I first became a councillor with the township in 2007.Besides the day to day oversight of a large organization I have particularly enjoyed being involved in planning issues related to the Official Plan and the Comprehensive Zoning bylaw, as well as the many day to day concerns raised by residents.   Our role in maintaining the environment has also been very rewarding.  

My time on council has been both enjoyable and an honour.
