The Parry Sound Area Community Business & Development Centre is a federally supported not-for-profit Community Futures Development Corporation, governed by volunteers in partnership with FedNor. The services provided by the CB&DC exist to promote economic growth and community development of the Parry Sound region. The centre focuses on job creation by community strategic planning and providing funding and advisory services to area businesses.

YMCA Employment Service Centre Parry Sound
YMCA Employment Service Centre offers self directed, independent job search services as well as one-on-one job search support with an employment specialist. Drop in services include computers for resume and cover letter preparation, internet access, a resource library, assessment tools, job search workshops and fax, photocopy, and telephone use for job search. One-on-one services include an employment assessment, mentoring and coaching from an employment specialist, job matching and placement, possible financial incentives, job retention assistance and an intensive assisted job search and coaching program.
The YMCA Employment Service Centres offer employer information and support for employers in the way of employment placement and training. The YMCA employment specialists can recommend wage subsidies for employers depending on the training needs of the worker and the wages of the job. Whatever support you require, our professional staff will work with you to formulate a plan that is sure to address your specific needs in a timely manner and with guaranteed results.
The YMCA offers outplacement and career transition services to help displaced employees gain the motivation and drive to find meaningful personal and career direction at a difficult point in their lives.

LINC Employment Services
Leading Into New Careers (LINC) helps people who have a disability find employment and be successful in the workplace. LINC helps employers who want reliable staff find able people.
- LINC, an employment services provider for the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Employment Supports division, is funded through the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS).
- LINC takes a holistic approach which acknowledges employment as a meaningful attachment to community life. Our objective is connecting people with employment barriers to sustainable, competitive jobs. At LINC, we ensure that individuals are matched with employment opportunities that are successful for both them and their employer.
- LINC will provide individualized services that will assist in success within the workplace. We do this by maintaining regular contact with both the employer and employee as needed. Individualized supports are available at no cost.
